As the largest town in Shropshire, and one of the fastest growing in the UK, Telford is classed as a 'new town' which was only built in the 1960s and 70s. The main Telford shopping centre is home to over 160 shops of all sizes that sell all types of merchandise. All the well known multiple groups are represented there, in addition to some appealing Telford toy shops that can still be found within the town.
