Although historically a market town in Kent, Bromley was recognised as a part of Greater London in 1965 following boundary re-organisation. The Glades Shopping Centre is home to several multiple toy retailers, but a few specialist Bromley toy shops can be found in many of the streets and roads around the town centre.
Bromley is also home to several internet-based toy and children’s businesses. Green Owl Toys offers a huge range of educational toys and puzzles, whilst Punkin Patch is an online seller of beautiful children's furniture. Avicraft in Chatterton Road is a great example of a traditional model shop. Their large ranges of radio-controlled models and kits attracts shoppers from a wide area around Bromley.
