Lying on the piece of land closest to France, Dover in Kent has always been an important crossing point on the English Channel. With a population of around 40,000 people, Dover’s inhabitant numbers are almost permanently increased by the huge number of tourists and visitors that pass through every year.
Several independent Dover toy shops are a feature of the town, with Toys Around Again and Turner’s Model Shop being just two of the interesting selections. The Charlton shopping centre in the middle of the town houses many chain stores, but shoppers do not have far to walk to find a specialist Dover toy shop selling arts & crafts, action figures or games and puzzles.
