Lewis Hamilton, the Formula 1 world champion in 2008, was born in Stevenage in Hertfordshire, and the model of his Scalextric car is one of the most popular ever made. No doubt both The Entertainer and Toys ‘R’ Us who represent two of Stevenage’s toy shops sell this car, plus a great selection of other models.
The modern West Gate Shopping Centre houses many of the multiple shops, but the streets around the centre have a few independent shops that sell a selection of toys and gifts. Although online-only, Collectors Kingdom are based in Stevenage, and supply their thousands of product lines to their customers all over the UK.
