Having one of the fastest growing populations of any European city, Dublin is the administration centre of Ireland. Well known as also being at the mouth of the famous River Liffey, the city has been subject to massive investment over recent years, and EU funding continues to help the city develop and grow. Nearly every major retailer is represented here, and there is also a superb selection of independent niche hobby, game and toy shops.
Tourism plays a big part in Ireland’s economy, and many of the travellers visit Dublin and its shopping centres as part of their tour, even though Dublin is Europe’s 8th most expensive city to be in. Outside of the large shopping centres, you can find almost any toy that you could want in the specialist toy shops, and these are situated in some of the historic and original streets. Banba Toymaster in Mary Street is a perfect example of a well stocked traditional toy shop that offers its customers a good mix of modern toys, action figures and collectables ranges.
