Alice's Bear Shop is a story book bought to life. Open seven days of the week in the idyllic seaside town of Lyme Regis, Dorset, it is one of the countries only remaining teddy bear and doll hospitals. They even have a ward in store where you can see the patients in their teddy sized beds and check out their medical charts.

As part of the Slow Toy Movement created by Thierry Bourret of Asobi, Alice's Bear Shop advocates play and the bond between a child and their special soft toy – this is so important in today's too often throw-away society. The shop carries an ever changing range of soft toys as well as its very own range of story books and soft toy characters. These are based on the antics of the teddy bears that arrive to be fixed. You can often find the author in store, happy to sign and dedicate books. The award winning Green Board Games company even introduced a BrainBox game based on the characters from Alice's Bear Shop in 2012. This great game even won a memory game award.

Alice's Bear Shop character t-shirts can be purchased in sizes from new baby to very, very big kid. During school holidays there are even opportunities for the over nines to book bear making classes or take part in supervised craft sessions. All said, this is the ideal place to find your very best forever friend.
