Traditionally a major shipping port, much of Plymouth's city centre was destroyed in the Blitz, meaning that is has one of most modern, purpose-built, pedestrianised shopping centres in the county. Its significant shopping district means that there is a great selection of Plymouth toy shops - and shoppers flock from all over Devon and Cornwall to find the best choice of toys and baby products in the area.
Particularly good places to start your toy shopping are Cornwall Street, The Independent Quarter and Drake Circus - the city's covered shopping centre. Whilst New George Street is home to several Plymouth shops selling toys, we recommend you look a bit further afield. Final Frontier in Cornwall Street is a specialist toy and comic collectors shop with an eclectic selection of products.
