This popular little seaside town is perhaps best known for its large population of black swans, although there are plenty of other reasons to visit this picturesque Devon town. It also gained fame when the main railway line was washed away in 2014. Sadly, Dawlish’s only dedicated toy shop known as Dawlish Bears closed its doors for the final time in 2015.
Whilst the number and range of shops is certainly limited, the town has some terrific independent retailers some of which offer a few basic toy ranges. The rather strangely named The 1 for U Ltd. are based in Dawlish, although they only sell online. They have a gorgeous range of plush rocking horses and accessories like brushes and bags - every little girl and boy would love one!
