Based in Cheshire, Chester has a good mix of independents and chain stores - many of which are contained within The Grosvenor Mall and the Forum - the towns' two large indoor shopping centres.
As well as all the usual High street favourites such as Next and M&S, you can be sure to find some quirky, specialist shops in other parts of the city, particularly Godstall Lane and Bridge Street. Unfortunately much of the toy shopping opportunities revolve around the 'big name' brands such as Early Learning Centre and Toys R Us, but you can also find a good selection of quality games and traditional toys at Toycraft, Chester's popular independent toy shop.
