Fans of the legendary game show Bullseye couldn't contain their excitement upon hearing that it was making a surprise return for a Christmas special in December 2024. Freddie Flintoff was chosen as the show's host, his first hosting gig since a horror Top Gear car crash that left him seriously injured.
Flintoff was stepping into the formidable shoes of actor and comedian Jim Bowen, who hosted Bullseye from 1981 to 1995. The slightly chaotic show was prime-time viewing back in the day, with up to 20 million Brits tuning in to see if someone would win its most famous prize, a speedboat.
In late 2024, Games specialists University Games unveiled two brand new Bullseye board games with questions that follow the show's traditional format. The games are designed to appeal to boys and girls ages 14 and over.
