Shaun The Sheep made his acting debut in A Close Shave - the Oscar winning Wallace and Gromit film made by Bristol's Aardman Animations. Following this brief cameo (where he was accidently "shorn" in the Knit-o-matic contraption) this cheeky little chappy was given his own spin-off show in March 2007. By mid-2014, 4 series (comprising 130 x 7-minute episodes) had been broadcast to countries in all corners of the world.
As can be expected from popular children's characters, Shaun has given rise to a vast range of toys, games and puzzles inspired by the show. We particularly like the "Shivering Shaun" and "Cry-Baby Timmy' plush toys from character toy specialist Golden Bear. It's also worth looking out for cuddly toys fron Nici and jigsaws from Cheatwell Games.
By the time Shaun was named the 'UK's favourite TV character of all time' in 2014, his first full-length feature film was already in production. Slated for a February 2015 launch, the film looks set to give rise to a wealth of brand new supporting merchandise and we can't wait!
