Dragon-i Toys began in 2009 after the purchase of the now defunct Jasman company. The two founders, David Yip and David Cave, used the strong sales history of Jasman’s products to jumpstart sales at the new company.
After developing new products, licensing deals and employing new inventors, they were able to introduce a vastly expanded and innovative product line. The most famous is Chatimals, a talking hamster that Toys ‘n’ Playthings, one of the UK’s toy trade magazines, called, “…one of the surprise hits of the year."
The company definitely took off with a selection of successful exclusive brands such as Gunslinger, Mighty Megasaur or the Melting Blobimals. After just 3 years in operation, Dragon-I obtained the 2012 best girls licensed toy for the Talking Tom and Ben Talk Back Plush at the Australian Toy Awards.
Now the licensee of several global brands and with a slew of innovative new products being introduced every year, such as the Bluetooth enabled Toy-Fi Teddy, Dragon-i Toys is now selling in 45 different countries. This young and fast growing toy company has based its success on “play value”, and is now a strong business in the toy industry.
The world's most famous online retailer sells an unparalleled selection of toys.
